Viva Voce – 10 slides dan 33 soalan
Tadi dtg seorang PG utk cuba VIVA dgn aku.. akhirnya jenuh aku plak yg bagi jawapan.. adoi.

Viva adalah satu forum utk anda menunjukkan penguasaan anda secara verbal dalam masa  20 - 30 minit. Ketahuilah bahawa examiners telahpun membaca dan menyediakan laporan tesis anda, maka mereka sekadar inginkan penjelasan lanjut. Jadi tak perlu nak jelaskan secara detail masa presentation.

Aku cadangkan anda sediakan 10 slides. Tolong jgn copy-n-paste dari tesis bulat2. Jika dlm competition 3-minute thesis calon PhD boleh jelaskn kajian mereka dlm 3 minit diiringi 1 slide sj... takkan  x boleh jelaskn dlm 20 - 30 minit dgn 10 slides !!!

Tak perlu humble spt berkata “Kajian ini masih jauh dari perfect bla.. bla…” atau “Metodologi kajian ini banyak kelemahan…” biarlah examiners yang komen.

Kalau soalan yang ditanya tak terjangkau... be honest....jgn klentong plak... better jawab  "Tqvm for the question but honestly I cant answer the question coz its beyond the scope of my study / I haven't come across the answer....  but I will find it later"

Aku ingin mengemukakan semula 33 soalan viva yg pernah aku kutip.. utk di share:

1. What is your main research area?
2. Is there any real world applications of your research?
3. What made you think that your study is worth doing?
4. What is the main problem are you going to tackle?
5. What is your motivation to study this topic?
6. What is the current debates related to the problem/issue?
7. Generally, what the literature says about the problem / issue?
8. How are you going to tackle the problem / issue?
9. What is the contribution (to the body of knowledge) of your study ?
10. What is the problem statement of your study?
11. What is your expected finding before starting your study?
12. How did you review previous studies related to your topic?
13. Who is the main authors / experts / leading researcher in the area of your investigation?
14. Can you mention 3 main journals you have reviewed related to your field?
15. Why did you  choose this sampling technique?
16. What is the ‘novel’ / "original' aspect of your study?
17. What are the variables involved and why you chose them?
18. Briefly explain the theoretical / conceptual framework underpinnings your study?
19. What is the research design of you study? 20. Why used quantitative not qualitative or not mixed method (or vice versa)

23. How the statistical analysis used in your study appropriate to answer your research questions?
24. Have you tested all the assumption related to your data?

ari nie nk share...mcmane proses yg aku lalui! susahnya aku nk decide tajuk kajian. KENAPA??? sbb aku mmg x bsedia utksambung PhD. bukan suka2 je be...korg kene phm risiko! klu aku x memikir risiko yg aku amik nie...mmg aku down lama dh!

Aku create 1 tajuk based on ape yg org ckp... aku bt proposal! bt permohonan.... hsbn aku dh ade tajuk...die dh refer bbrp otai!. aku nie tkial2...submit permohonan...alhamdulillah kene terima. dpt SV yagg alhamdulillah!

sedar2 dr lena ......weh aku dh sem 2 nie! mana tajuk aku...skali pun x brani jmpa SV...sbb xtau nk jmp bt ape....so dengan memberanikan diri joinla jamuan raya group bersama SV...masa tu aku buka mata sket...minda aku terasa kebengappan aku makin memberat... Ya ALLAH bukakan jln...permudahkan laluanku...tabahkan ati ku!

Time Sem 2 nie aku br rasa..aku dh ketinggalan............aku gagah kan juga! org p library aku pun g la...tp org p bahagian thesis as a referrences..aku p mana tah! aku tau surau je...mcm alim je bunyi! tp actually aku x tau nk bt ape...2 -3 jam duk dlm library rasa bosan...lama2 aku stop...so aku join skali lg pjmpaan group...aku rasa mcm kali nie aku lbh phm (sket!!!)....masa tu aku gagah juga memahami sbb aku kene p present ke HQ utk minta kelulusan sabung blaja!....

Alhamdulillah aku dh bt pmbentangan pd Okt 2019...tp malangnya tajuk je kene banned! jatuh balik smgt aku bila panel kata tajuk aku bukan level PhD......aku argued tp hasilnya permohonan aku ditolak atas bbrp sbb. aku redha tp rasa down blk...aku dpt smgt bila bos aku bg bntuan. aku hanya perlu kebenaran in sha ALLAH yg laen aku usahakan sndiri..aku bt rayuan trus! tp skali lg rayuan ku di tolak...cuma aku bsyukur dibenarkan membuat kajian. alhamdulillah tu pun dh aku rasa puas ati.....
